About the Foundation
FOUNDED
In June 2026 by real estate investor Scott M. Weber, Fishnets Foundation was created in response to a recognized need for greater investment in organizations and initiatives that lift the lives of women and strengthen their networks.

Scott recognized that women focused nonprofits and women-led business owners and entrepreneurs need more than access to capital. They need resources, relationships, networks, mentorship, education, and a supportive community that can help them build sustainable businesses, achieve economic independence, and create lasting impact.
OUR MISSION
Fishnets Foundation empowers women by investing in nonprofit organizations and women-led initiatives that advance economic independence, leadership, health, safety, and opportunity. Through strategic philanthropy and partnerships, the Foundation connects women with the resources, networks, mentorship, and relationships needed to lead, grow, and thrive. By investing in women, Fishnets Foundation helps strengthen families, businesses, and communities for generations to come.

Fishnets Foundation is a Minnesota-based 317A nonprofit corporation recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) private foundation under Section 509(a).
